“Selling a beloved family home is a difficult task.”

Jane Welko witz-Franklin, PsyD.
Los Angeles California 90027

My parents, Dr. and Mrs. Mortimer and Shirley Welkowitz, bought a house in Los Feliz in 1960. What they paid for the house then would not buy a Subaru today, but it was a lot of money at the time. My brother and I grew up in that house and later brought our children and grandchildren there, creating a lifetime of wonderful memories.

When it came time to sell the house, after my mother passed away this year, there was no doubt as to who would handle the sale. Gail Crosby, of Sotheby’s, had known and admired my mother for many years. When my mother could no longer drive, Gail kindly picked her up to take her to meetings at the Senior Center. Gail even invited my mother to her lovely home in Silver Lake for an afternoon party with many of their mutual friends.

Selling a beloved family home is a difficult task. Gail always treated us with the utmost sensitivity and respect, honoring our mother’s memory with integrity and kindness. She made what could have been a difficult task that much easier, and we will be forever grateful to Gail for that.

The house sold quickly and at a price that was fair to us and to the buyer as well. Gail’s professionalism was evident throughout the entire process. She simply is the best at what she does!
